To many of us, garlic is a staple ingredient in our households. It brings an elevated level of flavor to any meal and tastes great. However, what we don’t think about is all the benefits that tiny clove carries and the impact it has on our overall health and wellness. Garlic has been used for its medicinal properties throughout ancient history and is still considered a powerful natural medicine today. When a garlic clove is chopped, crushed or chewed, it releases a sulphuric compound that works wonders on your health. Garlic is also full of vitamins and minerals like manganese, selenium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and other antioxidants, including allicin. Let’s take a look at some of the other benefits.
  • Immunity Boosting | Consuming raw garlic has been proven to help boost your immunity and combat sickness including the common cold.

Lemon is a great aid in digestion and for supporting your lymphatic health which aids in overall immunity. It is also a strong source of Vitamin C which promotes immunity and fights infections. It also contains calcium, potassium and folate which help with muscle and nerve function as well as red blood cell formation. It is also one of the best ways to relieve a sore throat.
Ginger, much like garlic, is a superfood with a large range of nutrients and health benefits for your body and brain. Ginger contains gingerol which has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects on the body. Ginger is also a highly effective at combating nausea, menstrual cramps and can even expedite the process in which our body empties the stomach. Most importantly though, it helps your body fight infections through inhibiting the growth of many different types of bacteria.
