Kristina grew up in Independence, KS, a small town in southeast Kansas where tennis was a big part of the community. One of her first memories was playing in a father-daughter tournament, where she met one of her best friends. They continued playing together throughout middle and high school. Her high school team won regionals every year from her freshman year onward. During her senior year, she qualified for the 4A State Tournament, and her team finished fifth overall.
At Kansas State University, tennis became an even more prominent part of Kristina’s life. She served as the Kansas State Tennis Club president from 2022 to 2024. During that time, she helped organize practices, and the club’s travel team participated in many tournaments, traveling as far as Kentucky! Aside from club tennis, she also taught group classes and individual technique sessions to players of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to adults, at the indoor K-State tennis facility (Peakform Recreation and Fitness).
Tennis has given Kristina so much both on and off the court, and she wouldn’t have it any other way!
