Farhan has been playing tennis since 2002 and is certified in USTA SafeSport. He earned numerous accolades for his high school and was selected to represent his state at nationals in 2011. He moved from India to Kansas in 2014 and played four seasons of Division II tennis at Emporia State University earning All-MIAA Honors in Singles and Doubles while serving as team captain in his senior year. He attributes his success in tennis to a coaching style that emphasized perfecting the basics of the sport.
