At Woodside we offer two paths for cyclists – CYCLE // THE BEAT and CYCLE // THE ROAD.

CYCLE // THE BEAT

Prepare to push your limits in our performance-focused rhythm riding class: experience theater-quality sound and visuals with distance, power and time drills. Test your endurance, conquer your PR and see where THE ROAD takes you.

CARDIO + STRENGTH

One of the primary advantages of cycling is its effectiveness in burning calories – this high-intensity workout can facilitate the burning of 400 to 900 calories in just one hour, depending on individual factors such as weight, gender and fitness level. Additionally, cycling significantly boosts overall fitness by enhancing endurance, stamina, speed and power, while also improving cardiovascular health, leading to increased energy levels and better mental clarity in daily life.

Improved cardiac and pulmonary function is a significant benefit of participating in cycling classes. Engaging in this activity elevates your heart rate and enhances blood circulation, while also increasing your respiratory capacity. Members who join us regularly in the Cycle Studio may see notable advancements in the health of their heart and lungs, resulting in improved overall fitness, increased energy levels and reduced blood pressure.

Additionally, cycling is an effective method for toning and sculpting the legs. The cycling motion engages various muscle groups, including the quadriceps, calves, hamstrings and glutes, developing lower body strength.

Ready to get started in a cycling class at Woodside? We recommend trying a sampling of both types of classes with various Instructors. We’re fortunate to have a team of talented CYCLE Instructors who all bring their own personalities, perspectives and playlists to class. Once you’ve tried a few different classes, you should have a good feel for the type of class that works best to motivate and inspire you.
