Member Recognition: Ladonna Gooden

We would like to recognize Woodside member, Ladonna Gooden for her hard work and dedication. After roughly 2 years of training with Lee Clark, she went on to place big in a recent USA Track & Field event. Congratulations Ladonna! Read on for Lee’s testimonial about her programming and the journey they took to reach her goal.

“Ladonna was already an athlete. She ran track in college and maintained her physique right up to when we began training roughly two years ago.

Her goal was to place in the Nationals Masters track meet and qualify for Worlds. She needed that extra edge that Woodside training could provide. We had our ups and downs; She suffered a partial hamstring tear during trials that nearly sidelined her. We now had to focus on the rehabilitation of her hamstring where we had been adding lean muscle mass and perfecting the necessary mobility and conditioning for elite hurdling. Ladonna would not be deterred. When it came time blast out of the starting blocks, Ladonna brought her A game and placed in multiple events, as well as first place in hurdles! I’m so proud of Ladonna’s work ethic! She put in the hard work. All I did was keep her focused!” – Lee Clark
